Number 7 has always shown up in literature and the rest of the world in many ways.

These make Booknerds’ 7th anniversary one of remarkable value to us! Yes, October 18 was a special moment for us for having come so far. Let’s take a walk down memory lane and reminisce about what we have achieved over the last seven years.

Prominent Events

What began in November 2015 as general book hangouts have now evolved into themed events for our bibliophiles! From Harry Potter quizzes for Potterheads to spooky reads on Halloween, we have created a prolific reading community in Doon Valley.

We have hosted interactive author sessions, book discussions, book tours, book launches, and poetry recitals. From authors such as Sudha Murthy, Devdutt Pattanaik,Kevin Missal and Anand Neelakantan to budding authors, we have hosted them all!

The idea is to recommend good literature in several genres - romance, fantasy, children’s literature, adventure, thriller, comedy, mystery, crime, literary fiction, young adult, and more. No matter what genre you enjoy and which authors you adore, there is always something for you at Booknerds!

Booknerds Children’s Library

Our children’s library is a treasure trove for kids to fall in love with books. From picture books and comics to Enid Blyton and more full-fledged novels, we have a space stocked with various genres.

We have conducted events at Doon School, Manav Rachna School(Faridabad) and more to introduce children to educational and entertaining books. It is our initiative to expand our community to the younger generation. With consistent events and meetups at the library, we have worked towards encouraging children to read more and use technology less.

While our Banned and Controversial Books Hangout is for adults, we do have cool events for kids as well. Our partnerships with several top publishers including Scholastic and Dreamland have taken kids to different worlds through books. The events also have contests such as bookmark-making challenges, storytelling, and comic strip designing to keep the kids engaged.

Online Events and Social Media

Our most prominent events have been online as it draws in a much wider audience. Be it Hindi books on our Booknerds Hindi YouTube channel or English ones - our social media presence has been enchanting!

Our reading community is spread across Facebook, Instagram, Youtube,LinkedIn, and Twitter for frequent live sessions, book reviews, relatable memes, featured author’s books, and engaging literary reels. Any bookworm would be engrossed by our countless interactive live sessions with authors and readers alike.

Visit our YouTube channels for monthly book wrap-ups, book recommendations, and literary roundups. These monthly videos feature all the latest news in the literary world with upcoming events.

That’s not all! Annually, we also host the Booknerds Community Awards to present the nerdiest bibliophiles and partners with goodies and rewards. The best titles include Book Hoarder of the Year, Little Booknerds of the Year, and Bookstore Partner of the Year, to name a few.


Landmark Collaborations

A landmark moment for us would was reaching over 30,000 views on YouTube. We owe this to our team, our community, and our partners. Speaking of partners, our partnerships with prominent brands such as Amar Chitra Katha, Champak, and Dreamland have been proud moments. It was moments like these when we pinched ourselves to ensure it was real!


We have collaborated with authors of various languages for annual events such as our Diwali Book Giveaway. It is a subtle step from our team to inculcate the love for reading in our readers.

What’s In The Pipeline?

Of course, the journey continues, and you can expect many more years to come! We are looking for the best books and trending reels to engage you while discussing our favorite books!

Several events can be expected for the rest of this year - from Christmas to general book-reading sessions. Stay tuned to our social media for updates and to get some great recommendations to add to your TBR!

In terms of reading, Team Booknerds is currently reading Sacred Country by Pruthvi Raja. The story revolves around a crime news editor from the Kannada Times who returns to his home village to investigate a series of killings. Things get tricky when his family and friends appear next on the line!

We are enjoying this book as it deals with crime and poisoning while taking us on a race against time to unravel the case. Do pick it up and stay tuned for a session revolving around it coming soon!
